NOTICE FOR 26 MAY TO 17 JUNE PATRONS
From 26 May to 17 June, Sydney will light up for Vivid Sydney with stunning installations, events, food offerings, and more all available during this period. Please note there will be an increase in traffic and visitors, reduced parking availability, and some road closures which may affect your route to Theatre Royal Sydney. We highly recommend allowing for additional time to travel to your pre-theatre restaurant or our venue. For information on road closures, please click here.


Our Theatre truly is located Where The City Meets The Stage. Ideally placed between the hustle and bustle of Martin Place and Pitt Street Mall, Theatre Royal Sydney is your premier inner-city entertainment venue.

We are located at 108 King Street, Sydney beneath 25 Martin Place. Our foyer, box office and cloakroom is best accessed via the main doors on 108 King Street.

The Theatre is very well serviced by Public Transport.

Train

The venue is a three minute walk from Martin Place and St James station, and a ten minute walk from Wynyard and Town Hall stations. The T4 line is the only one that stops at Martin Place and it runs between Bondi Junction and Central station.

Bus

Numerous buses stop outside Martin Place station, which is a short walk from the venue, including the 428 which runs between Canterbury station and the CBD, the 392 which runs between Little Bay and Circular Quay and the 170X which runs between Manly and Wynyard.

Taxis

Taxis are easily available within the Martin Place locality, with the nearest Secure Taxi Rank located on Pitt Street. This is located at the entry to The Fullerton Hotel and is secured and supervised full-time by attendants and security guards. There is also a Taxi Zone located across the road from the Venue, which operates 8PM to 12AM, 7 days a week.

From the Airport

We are located approximately a 30-minute drive from Sydney's International and Domestic Airports.

Sydney's Airport Link train service stops at Town Hall. St James and Museum stations, all within walking distance of the venue. The train journey takes approximately 20 minutes.
