General Ticketing

Tickets are available online through the Theatre Royal Sydney website. Simply click the Book Ticket button on your chosen event and you will be able to purchase your tickets directly.

Alternatively, you can visit us at the Box Office at 108 King St, Sydney. Our Box Office opening hours and further details are available here.

Due to the architecture of the Venue, some seats have a better view of the stage than others. A restricted view seat means that at some points during the performance you may not see the action on stage, or that perhaps a section of the set is out of view. These seats are priced accordingly. Please note, where a seat may be deemed "restricted view" for one production, it might be a perfect seat for another due to the nature of the performance, the set etc.

You can see our seating map by clicking here. Please note this map is a guide only and seating configuration may change at any time prior to your event.

Yes. Afterpay is exclusively available for online sales through Theatre Royal Sydney's website. It allows you to shop now and pay off your purchase in four installments over six weeks. You'll pay your first installment at the time of purchase, and the remainder every two weeks. To book your tickets using Afterpay, please select the option on the checkout page when making a booking.

Please do not put your credit card number through again as you may be charged twice. Although in most cases you will receive your Confirmation Email instantly, sometimes it may take a few minutes for it to arrive in your mailbox. Please also check your junk or spam folders to see if it has landed here instead of your Inbox. If you require any further assistance, please contact us and we will gladly assist.

When you select Email as your delivery method, an email will be sent to you with a link to "View Tickets". When you click this link your QR code tickets will be displayed and you can use these for scanning and entry. This option also allows you to save your tickets to your digital wallet on your mobile device.

Theatre Royal Sydney encourages the use of paperless entry as part of our commitment to environmental sustainability.

When you select Print at home as your delivery method, an email with a PDF of your tickets will be sent to you. This option is recommended to those who wish to print their PDF tickets for entry to the Venue.

A handling fee of $9.25 is applicable per transaction when booking online or over the phone.

When you buy your tickets through the Theatre Royal Sydney website, you will receive a Confirmation Email soon after purchase. Your tickets will be sent via a separate email, regardless of the delivery method chosen. If you have received your Confirmation Email but not your email containing your tickets, this could be because tickets are being held back from delivery until a date closer to the performance date. Please check your Confirmation Email for further details regarding expected date tickets will be sent through.

If you are still having issues locating your tickets, please contact our Box Office here.

We understand circumstances change and your chosen performance date or time may no longer suit. For certain shows, tickets may be exchanged for different performances of the originally purchased production.

Exchanges must be made no later than 48 hours prior to the start of the originally ticketed performance and may not be made for the same performance. Exchanges cannot result in fewer tickets or seats in a lesser price category than originally purchased. A $10 per ticket fee applies up to a maximum of $30 per exchange transaction. All exchanges are subject to availability.

To arrange an exchange, please contact our box office here.

Some performances may offer a concession discount. These may be available to holders of a (government issued) Australian Seniors Card, Pensioner Concession Card (excluding Health Card Cards), Veterans Affairs Card, Carers or Companion Card or Current Full Time Student Card. To check if your selected performance offers a concession discount and if you are eligible, please visit the ticketing details section on the relevant events page.
