Theatre Royal Sydney strives to create a safe and healthy environment for our patrons as well as our staff. We are excited to see you at the Venue and look forward to welcoming you in a COVID Safe way.

Some of the measures we have adopted to keep you and our team safe include:

  • Completing compulsory check in via the Service NSW QR code for contact tracing purposes
  • Mask wearing and double vaccination compulsory for patrons 12+. If you have a medical exemption, please present this to our staff upon entry
  • Conducting regular sanitation and cleaning of the venue including in between performances
  • Ensuring sufficient supply of hand sanitiser is available on-site
  • Providing contactless payment options only (no cash)
  • Encouraging all patrons to move swiftly to their seats once Auditorium doors are open to avoid crowding in foyers

Additionally, our cloakroom will not be operational during any performances until further notice. Please avoid bringing oversize items such as bags longer than 30cms and wider than 21 cms (A4 size) or any other large articles.

Current government advice allows us to operate at 100% capacity. Whilst this means patrons may be sitting side by side, we do encourage all visitors to the venue to practise social distancing where applicable.

Mask wearing for patrons 12+ and proof of double vaccination or medical exemption has been a condition of entry for patrons 16+ at entertainment venues under the previous Public Health Orders and this will be seen through by Theatre Royal Sydney until February 27th 2022. Theatre Royal Sydney have a mandatory vaccination requirement for all employees and contractors.

Whilst we are looking forward to welcoming you back to the Venue, we understand that COVID-19 and associated restrictions may still impact your visit to Theatre Royal Sydney.
