Your guide to having the best Bluey's Big Play experience at Theatre Royal Sydney

Prams & Strollers

Please avoid bringing prams or strollers as there will be limited space available on the day and recommend you leave these in the car if driving into the city.

Pram parking (subject to availability) will be located on Level 7 of 25 Martin Place, easily accessed from Castlereagh Street, or via lift from our King Street Main Entrance. Prams will not be allowed into the auditorium and cannot be left in the foyers.

Pack Light

For Bluey's Big Play, reasonably sized bags will be permitted in the auditorium. We recommend to only bring the essentials for your little ones. Please ensure you place your bag under your seat for the safety of yourselves and others. All bags are subject to bag checks.

Booster Seats

Booster seats are not available. Patrons can bring a pillow if needed.

Seating

Whilst the performance is exciting, patrons should remain sitting in their seats or on laps during the performance, unless exiting the venue. Standing on seats or watching the performance from other areas inside the auditorium, including the aisles and from in front of the stage, is not permitted.

Arrive On Time (Or Better Yet, Arrive Early!)

We don’t want anyone to miss even a moment of their performance, so we encourage all patrons to arrive 30 minutes before the time listed on their ticket. This will give you time to check out the merchandise, take a picture of your day out, and arrive at your seat in time.

Ask For Help

Our staff are here to assist you and will be identifiable by their blue carry pouches as well as their uniform. If you have any questions or concerns throughout your time in the venue, please do not hesitate to approach a member of our team.

Food & Beverage

Food and beverages will be available to purchase from our cashless bars, including coffee, tea, gelato, slushies, and more. There are numerous dining options nearby, including a food court, for pre and post performance dining with more information available here.

Please ensure on exit you take your belongings and please be considerate by removing any rubbish by utilising our rubbish bins.

Photography & Phones

No flash photography or video is permitted during the performance. Please ensure your phone is on silent throughout the performance.

Audience Participation

Bluey’s Big Play is friendly for all ages so the whole family can enjoy! Please note that, after the performance, some audience members will be invited to participate in games of “Keepy Uppy” – one where several air filled balls (made of materials which do not include BPA, Latex or PVC) are released into the audience, and another with bubbles (made of non-stain solution).

As with many children’s games, playing “Keepy Uppy” may at times become boisterous and unpredictable. Our top priority is to keep audience members safe which is why some sections of the venue will not be able to play “Keepy Uppy”. If you do not wish to participate in these games, we recommend you leave the theatre after curtain call.

Babes In Arms

Children aged 18 months and younger on the day of the performance, can be admitted free of charge, but they must be seated on an accompanying adult’s lap for the duration of the event. They will not be allocated a seat.

Children older than 18 months must have a paid ticket and will have a seat allocated to them.

Meet & Greets

For those who have purchased Meet & Greet tickets, VIP ticketholders will be able to meet Bluey in person in an exclusive post show function.

Lanyards for ticketholders will be available to collect from our Box Office. You will be directed by our staff at the conclusion of the performance for your Meet & Greet.

Children with Bluey VIP tickets must be accompanied by an adult ALSO with a Bluey VIP ticket.
